The 19th at 100!

Today marks 100 years since the passing of the 19th Amendment by Congress on June 4th, 1919, ensuring all American women the right to vote.

"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be defined or abridged by the United States or by and State on account of sex."

Ratification would take several weeks, but for decades, women organized, petitioned, marched, picketed, protested and were persecuted to gain an equal voice in the direction of our country.

As world leaders gather to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the sacrifices by many on a day which changed the tide of WWII (June 6th, 1944), let us also remember the generations-long march of progress — continuing today — of women striving to change the tide of society.

Ever Forward!
